About Ankario

Healthcare that treats you like you have somewhere to be.

Ankario was built on a simple premise: getting evaluated, prescribed, and treated for a real health goal shouldn’t require a waiting room, a referral, or a week off work. We built a clinical platform around that instead.

Our story

Why we built Ankario

Weight management, sexual health, and peptide therapy have historically lived in three separate corners of healthcare — an endocrinologist for one, a urologist for another, a longevity clinic for the third — each with its own referral, its own waiting room, and its own paperwork. Ankario started from a simpler question: what if one clinical relationship could responsibly cover all three, without cutting corners on any of them?

That meant building a single intake that captures your full picture, a clinician network trained across all three categories, and a pharmacy relationship transparent enough that we could put it in writing on every product page — not just the fine print.

What we hold ourselves to

Three standards we do not trade away.

  1. Clinical Excellence

Every clinician on the Ankario network is licensed, credential-verified, and supported by written protocols developed with input from physicians specializing in obesity medicine, sexual health, and peptide therapy. Prescribing decisions are made by that clinician, not an algorithm.

  2. Innovation

We built our intake, messaging, and check-in system around how people actually manage long-term treatment — asynchronous by default, video when it matters, and always reachable from your phone.

  3. Quality & Safety

Medication prescribed through Ankario is compounded by licensed U.S. 503A pharmacies against a valid, patient-specific prescription — never pulled from mass-manufactured stock. Batches are traceable back to your order and tested for purity and potency as part of standard USP compliance.

Leadership

Our clinical & pharmacy leadership

Four standing responsibilities sit behind the network, so every protocol has an owner and every escalation has somewhere to go.

  • Chief Medical Officer

Sets clinical protocol standards across every treatment line and reviews prescribing guidelines as the research evolves.

  • Director of Pharmacy Relations

Vets and audits every compounding pharmacy partner against USP standards and state board requirements before they ever fill an Ankario prescription.

  • Director of Clinical Safety

Owns adverse-event reporting and protocol updates, and is the point of escalation when a case needs review beyond a single clinician.

  • Clinical Advisory Group

Practising physicians across each treatment category who review new protocols before they reach patients.

Where we operate

Licensed where we operate, accountable locally.

Nothing about being a telehealth platform exempts either side of the clinician-pharmacy relationship from state oversight. Coverage depends on where you are located at the time of your visit.

  • Clinicians prescribe only within the states where they hold an active licence.
  • Pharmacy partners are licensed to ship into the states they serve.
  • The same board inspections and USP compounding standards apply as at any community compounding pharmacy.

How we vet clinicians

What it takes to join the network

  1. License verification

Every clinician's licence is confirmed active and in good standing with their state board before they see a single patient, and re-verified on an ongoing basis.

  2. Category credentialing

Clinicians are credentialed specifically for the treatment lines they practise in — a provider isn't approved for one category just because they're approved for another.

  3. Protocol training

Every clinician is trained on Ankario's written clinical protocols before prescribing, so patients get a consistent standard of care regardless of which provider they're matched with.

  4. Ongoing case review

A sample of cases across every clinician is reviewed regularly by the Director of Clinical Safety, independent of any individual patient complaint.
